Gail Becker - Performance Bio

Gail Becker is a seasoned musical theater artist, music director, and voice teacher from Chicago now living in Madison.  Performing credits include -  National Tour: Babes in Toyland.  Chicago: High Society, Chicago, Sunday in the Park with George - received a Joseph Jefferson Citation for Best Musical Production, Merrily We Roll Along, Pirates of Penzance.  Madison: Mezeppa in Gypsy with Capital City Theatre, Mae in Tuck Everlasting (regional premiere), James and the Giant Peach, Aladdin and A Christmas Carol with CTM, Into the Woods with Middleton Players, Sweeney Todd, Dead Man Walking, and many others with Madison Opera, HMS Pinafore with Madison Savoyards, American Songwriters (Gershwin, Cole Porter,) and Marin Mazzie and Jason Danieley In Concert with Four Seasons Theatre.

Her Chicago based trio group, 3Girls3, filled houses in Chicago at the famous Drury Lane Theatre on Michigan Ave., Navy Pier, Park West, Davenport's Cabaret Room and Skokie Theatre. In November of 2012 they performed at Madison's Overture Center.  Other cities performed in are San Francisco, Boston, St. Louis, and New York. 

Gail works independently as a music director and voice instructor. She is the Director of Education for Capital City Theatre, and also directs the Tommy Ensemble through Overture Center. Learn more at and  



GAIL BECKER (Director of Education and Co-Founder of Capital City Theatre)
Gail is a seasoned musical theater artist originally from Chicago. For the past 22 years she has made it a priority to further the careers of aspiring musical theatre artists by working independently as a Music Director and Vocal Coach. Her local Music Director credits include multiple productions with Edgewood College, Children’s Theatre of Madison, Four Seasons Theatre, Oregon Straw Hat Players, Stoughton Village Players, and Madison Country Day School. She has also been the Director of the Overture Center’s Tommy Ensemble since its formation five years ago. Gail instructs many of CCT’s programs including the summer musical theatre intensive Find Your Light (with Andrew Abrams) and the College Prep Course. She has taught workshops with the UW-Madison Theatre Department and Summer Music Clinic, Madison Tommy Awards and CTM’s Nancy Thurow Acting Academy. Gail holds a BFA in Theater, Magna Cum Laude from Miami University (OH).

Gail is a native to Chicago, having grown up in Batavia, Illinois, but has switched gears in her life to include the pastoral settings of central Wisconsin. She also maintains her own private voice studio focusing on musical theatre and cabaret vocal techniques. Please visit to see more information about her education endeavors.
