Gail Becker - Performance Bio
Born and raised in a suburb west of Chicago, Gail is a seasoned Cabaret performer, vocal coach, and actress now making Madison her home. For the past 30 years she has made it a priority to further the careers of aspiring musical theatre artists by working independently as a Music Director and Instructor. Now in its twelth year, Gail also directs the Overture Center’s Jerry Ensemble.
Performing credits include - National Tour: Babes in Toyland. Chicago: High Society, Chicago, Sunday in the Park with George, Merrily We Roll Along, Pirates of Penzance. Madison: Shining In Misery (Annie - world premiere), Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812 (Marya - regional premiere), On The Town (Madame Dilly),The Hunchback of Notre Dame (Featured Soloist) and Gypsy (Mazeppa) with Capital City Theatre, Tuck Everlasting (Mae - regional premiere), James and the Giant Peach, Aladdin and A Christmas Carol with CTM, Sweeney Todd, Dead Man Walking, and many others with Madison Opera.
Cabaret credits include - 54 Below (NY), Overture Center (Madison), Chicago, San Francisco, and Naples, Florida. Gail works independently as a Music Director, Vocal Coach, and Voice Over Artist. She directs the Jerry Ensemble at Overture Center for the Arts, and is the Managing Director / Director of Education for Capital City Theatre.

Instruction credits include: Capital City Theatre Conservatory, Level UP Musical Theatre College Prep Intensive, Edgewood College, Kennedy Center High School Theatre Workshops, Wisconsin Theatre Festival, UW Madison Theatre Department, UW Summer Music Clinic, Madison Jerry Awards, CTM’s Academy, and WSMA.
She has numerous private students who are either working in theatre or attending colleges and university for musical theatre. Gail also works as a freelance voice over artist. She holds a B.F.A. in Theatre Performance from Miami University.
